*It is easy to gain skill by making bronze or brass first, this uses less important items ([[tin lump|Tin]], [[zinc lump|Zinc]] and [[copper lump|Copper]]) rather than using [[charcoal]] which can be quite difficult to get hold of and is annoying to lose.
 
*Metallurgy is only really useful for increasing steel creation success rates at the moment, as both [[brass lump|Brass]] and [[bronze lump|Bronze]] have very little to no additional utility compared to the metals they derive from.

Success chance and average quality of metal created are affected by the first component of each alloy.

  • Zinc for Brass
  • Tin for Bronze
  • Charcoal for Steel
  • Gold for Electrum

Max quality is substantially affected by the quality of the second component of each alloy.

  • Iron for Steel
  • Copper for Brass and Bronze
  • Silver for Electrum

Consumption Ratios

  • Brass
    • 1.00 kg Zinc lump + 0.15 kg Copper lump = 0.10 kg Brass lump
  • Bronze
    • 0.50 kg Tin lump + 0.15 kg Copper lump = 0.10 kg Bronze lump
  • Steel
