* The article makes improving sound hard since it spends a lot of text describing how hard it is to get high ql scraps. If scrap ql is less than or equal to half of the factor for fence ql, I don't think it's a big deal. | * The article makes improving sound hard since it spends a lot of text describing how hard it is to get high ql scraps. Repairing Well, I tried to damage one in order to test what it needed to repair, but it seems I'm too strong and they just 'poof'. --Marni 22:12, 14 September 2010 (UTC) Try bad tools. Carving knives, rakes or 1QL hatchets--Ago 22:50, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Damage Resistance - Woven fences are likely to have incredibly low resistance to damage from mauls, catapults, etc. I don't think this is true for higher QL woven fences. I did build one on deed and improved to 48QL. Even with deed bonus and a 70QL hatchet each hit only did 30dmg. This is about the same damage I did to wooden fences.--Ago 22:50, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Improving Improving fences with two different sets of wood scraps lead to a formula for maximum QL as described on Talk:Improve--Ago 16:50, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
Woven fences don't secure animals. They can walk right through the fence and other players can use a rope on an animal behind a fence. There is some uncertainty right now just how well these fences will block actions like other fences. Joedobo 20:42, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
article improvement
This article seems misleading and is missing some important points:
- Building a woven fence only takes 10 actions of a little less than 10 seconds each. That's not significantly longer than a wooden fence.
- The article makes improving sound hard since it spends a lot of text describing how hard it is to get high ql scraps. If scrap ql is less than or equal to half of the factor for fence ql, I don't think it's a big deal.
- In my experience, woven fences stop player movement, but not mob movement (at least not a rope-lead animal). This is important to mention.
