Description
Grain is a food plant.
Uses
Cooking, Food, Beverages
From planting, to harvest and consumption, the path of grain, from the field to the table, often looks like this:
- First, the grain must be planted on a dirt tile.
- As it grows, it is then tended to with a rake.
- At its peak, it is then harvested with a scythe.
- From here, it can be ground into flour with a grindstone to make bread and other edibles.
Taming
Grain seeds can also be used to tame certain animals. For more details on this process, see taming.
Additional Notes
- Grain seeds can be found by botanizing.
- Grain seeds decay slower in a player's inventory than most other seeds.
The Grains of Wurm
(Note that corn, despite its real-life definition, is not treated as a grain in Wurm. For instance, you cannot make bread from it, and it does not need to be harvested with a scythe.)
