Resulting Product
- Unfinished Support Beam
- Support Beam - 60.0kg
Usage
- Activate a Support Beam and right-click the cave wall, select "Reinforce Wall".
Notes
You need to attach a Support Beam to every wall of a cave tile to prevent the tile from collapsing. You cannot mine a reinforced tile, but it will help to prevent cave collapse. A single Support Beam will help prevent cave in withing about a 5x5 area, having less prevention further from the beam, and almost total prevention 1 tile from the beam.
Hint: If you are making the support beams outside of the mine, your best approach is to leave it unfinished (e.g. requiring a shaft or a ribbon) and place them in a cart as more unfinished support beams fit in a cart than finished ones.
