Axes deal cutting damage. They attack somewhat fast, do good damage, and parry occasionally. Higher skill in Axes increases hit chances. Axes skill helps with all types of axes, but the sub-skills for each axe type only helps when using that type of axe. Axes are the only tool that can chop up felled trees
