Description
An ingenious system of pockets, pouches, hooks and holes designed to keep a wide array of common tools.
A toolbelt is a piece of HUD that allows you to place up to up to 15 items (2 base, 1 additional for each 10 quality, 1 additional for each rarity level) tools or materials on it for automatic selection.
Creation
- The QL of the hooks affects the success rate.
- On failure, the hooks and/or the leather belt are damaged. They can be repaired though.
- Adding the cloth only uses 0.3 kg even if the piece is bigger.
Usage
- Open the toolbar container window, and drag tools/mats from your inventory into the toolbar. If toolbar is already full, you can remove items by dragging them out of the toolbar.
- Containers can be placed inside the toolbelt for improving items.
- If you hide the toolbelt, it can be redisplayed using the main options menu or typing "toggle toolbelt" into the console.
- Despite being "worn" as a sort of accessory garment, toolbelts do not suffer damage as a result of falls or fighting such as does armour.
Quickbar
The quickbar on the toolbelt has two rows of slots, you can fill these slots with items or quickbar buttons.
- You can drag items or buttons onto the quick bar slots. You can remove a item or button by dragging it off the toolbar.
- Clicking the [+] icon at the top right of the quick bar will open a menu with more button options.
- You can add up to 10 tabs by clicking the [+] next to a existing tab. The tabs change when a different tab is selected, which creates a large amount of items and button combinations for you to edit and save.
- The bottom row of the quick bar will not change unless you remove or replace a button, which allows for a static list of commonly used items or buttons.
- clicking an item on the top row of the quick bar with activate that item in the slot.
- Quickbar slots can be bound to a key by hovering the slot with your mouse pointer and holding the key you would like to bind to it.
- You can scroll with your mouse wheel to activate items in the top row when hovering your mouse pointer over the quick bar
- The arrow on the far right corner of the quickbar allows you to toggle the select bar.
- The lock icon on the quick bar locks all slots to prevent accidental changes.
- If you would like to change the size of the toolbelt, right-click the three lines at the top right of the toolbelt and choose toggle size.
Notes
- While a toolbelt is equipped, all items inside are considered activated for actions.
- If you have an item activated and it is valid for the action you are doing, it will be used. If the item is not valid for the given action, the items inside your toolbelt will be checked by the system to see if there is a valid item to use.
- If multiple items are inside your toolbelt that have the same preference level, the item with higher quality will be used.
- Actions which work with multiple items have their own preference list for items, "Cut down" will prefer a hatchet over axes, weapons or a saw for example.
- An icon on the left in the right-click menu indicates what item will be used for the action.
- More details about the action and the used item is available when hovering over the action in the action queue. The action queue may be removed by right clicking the top right of the event window and choosing the hide option.
