Is it possible to add <nowiki>[[Category:Players|players]]</nowiki> without adding it to said category? Although in this case it fits, I really don't like having in mid-sentence. For now I'll simply create a redirect from [[Players]] to Category:Players and include that. <insert forgotten user tag here>

Help?

Will someone please start converting these people into Player: pages and then putting this template on there? I'm busy right now or I'd do it myself, not to mention the default values me off. ~ Tigiot 00:13, 3 February 2007 (CST)

It's a good initiative, but still a bit rough around the edges. I propose we make three categories (as with settlements) for home-jk, wild-jk and wild-hots. These could be subcategories of the player category. We'll need three templates for regular helpful players in these categories. CMs could be included in this, or get their own templates (but share categories), not sure which is better. GMs (and devs) should probably get a separate category and template, if we choose to make them. Let's get some discussion on the road before the change is irreversible! - Dashiva 06:21, 3 February 2007 (CST)
Players can move quite easily between the servers. Some players are on home a few weeks, then on wild a few weeks. This makes putting them in a server template hard. Manny 06:44, 3 February 2007 (CST)
The 'helpful' status is chosen by the individual players, so they know exactly when they change server and should switch templates. Alternatively a player who moves a lot can simply attach both the home and wild templates to his user page. Most players do not move, so we should keep the lists as relevant as possible. - Dashiva 13:19, 3 February 2007 (CST)
Hm right. The template thing sounds good then :) Manny 15:18, 3 February 2007 (CST)
Yes, I highly agree with the multiple categories and I made this page just to get a start on it. I've never made a template before so I wanted it out there and was hoping to get some help. Definitely need a separate template for GMs and I only put this template on one page(GM) just to test how it worked.
