Buildings

Wall plans for houses can be built on a maximum slope of 8 dirts, regardless of any skill.

Walls and fences

To calculate the maximum slope you can build a fence, stone wall, or tall stone wall on, based on your carpentry or masonry skill, use the following formula (submitted by ketza):

Max slope = (3 *skill) + 10

(3 times the square root of your skill, then add 10)

Note: The answer is rounded down.

Alternatively, to find the skill required for a given slope, use this formula:

Skill = (slope - 10)^2 / 9

This answer gets rounded up instead.

Skill Maximum Slope Skill Maximum Slope Skill Maximum Slope
1 13 16 22 49 31
2 14 19 23 54 32
3 15 22 24 59 33
4 16 25 25 64 34
6 17 29 26 70 35
8 18 33 27 76 36
9 19 36 28 81 37
12 20 41 29 88 38
14 21 45 30 94 39

Note: These skill limits do not apply when building small stone walls at cave entrances.

Farming

The sum of the north-south and east-west slope must not exceed 8 dirts.

For example if a tile has a slope of 6 dirts from north to south, the maximum slope from east to west is 2 dirts.

Another example, the north to south and east to west slopes may be 4 dirts steep each.
