Getting ready:
- It's advisable to begin with a minimum skill of 20 in Woodcutting. (More is always better...)
- The wood type of the last wooden item attached to a ship will determine the wood type of the finished ship. (Attaching a cedar peg as the last wooden item will make the ship a cedar ship.) For this reason it is often advisable to use pine as your primary wood type for most of your ship as it is currently the most common and fastest growing tree.
- Currently cedar decays slower than any other wood type in game, therefore it is best to ensure that the finished boat/ship is made of cedar. (This has been confirmed with all wood types including Oak at the time of this post.)
