Description
A pelt from an animal, used for polishing (improving) items. Gained by butchering either a large rat, wild cat, dog, or a mountain lion.
Pelts take less damage when in your inventory than on the ground.
Tips for beginners
A pelt is a very useful tool, but can be quite hard to come by on your own if you are a new player. Some of the Helpful players, or anyone else for that matter, may be willing to trade you a spare pelt in exchange for some labor. Ask in the main chat.
