Foraging is the skill used in searching a grass tile for berries, herbs, and nuts. Eating this food directly (raw and uncooked) will solve starvation, but it is more nutritional when used in cooking. It is believed that a higher foraging skill increases the likelihood of finding something.
Method
- Right-click a grass tile
- Select "Nature > Forage".

Tips
- A grass tile can be foraged and botanized every 24 real hours. It is not a verified fact, but it is believed that the 24-hour timer on a tile is triggered upon the attempt, and not when/if an item is actually found. Therefore if nothing is found, try another tile instead of repeatedly trying the same one.
- Tiles that are not foraged or botanized for long periods of time (a week or longer) have a higher chance of getting something than tiles that are checked 24 to 36 hours apart.
- It is possible to both forage and botanize on the same tile as these actions are on seperate timers.
- It also seems that there is a higher chance of getting something if a grass tile with flowers on it is foraged or botanized.
