Description
A fine pelt, skinned from an animal.
Pelt from an animal is used for improving or finishing items by polishing them.
Pelt can be gained by butchering either a dog corpse (producing an 0.60 kg pelt), large rat (0.20 kg), mountain lion (0.40 kg), or wild cat (0.20 kg).
Notes
Pelt does not take damage in inventory (unless used for polishing), but decays fast out of it.
Pelt cannot be repaired, except with Mend spell.
Tips for beginners
A pelt is a very useful tool, but can be quite hard to come by on your own if you are a new player. Some of the Helpful players, or anyone else for that matter, may be willing to trade you a spare pelt in exchange for some labor. Ask in the main chat.
