Main / Skills / Butchering / Pelt
Description
A fine pelt, skinned from an animal.
Pelt from an animal is used for improving or finishing items by polishing them.
Pelt can be gained by butchering either a dog corpse (producing an 0.60 kg pelt), large rat (0.20 kg), mountain lion (0.40 kg), or wild cat (0.20 kg).
Notes
- Pelt does not take damage in inventory (unless used for polishing), but decays fast out of it.
- Always keep in inventory or the bank to avoid decay.
- Pelt cannot be repaired, except with Mend spell.
Tips for beginners
A pelt is a very useful tool, but can be quite hard to come by on your own if you are a new player. Some of the Helpful players, or anyone else for that matter, may be willing to trade you a spare pelt in exchange for some labor. Ask in the main chat.
