Village Info
Darkenstone is a very large deed stretching from the canal to almost 120 tiles southward and from the shoreline of the east to the shoreline of the west effectively encompassing the entire peninsula. The canal remains one of the oldest active deeds still in it's original placement on the server. The village motto "Acta Non Verba" means Action Not Words. Aureate was the developer of the Darkenstone Canal which was the first major canal project undertaken on Freedom.

Village History
Early days of the Darkenstone Canal
Originally formed by Gaffeek and Rogan on JK home server and then with the addition of Batolemaeus again on MR home server. They moved to Freedom with Aureate, Persephone, Tritus, Thijs and others upon the server's opening day in 2009 becoming one of the first settlements established. In the following weeks the settlement Wynnger was founded to satisfy the need for more space, the canal was developed, and more sister deeds were created including the Gardens which grew into the current day Darkenstone Citadel. Gaffeek and Rogan eventually left the game the following year. In time Aureate and Persephone inherited the deeds and expanded the area. With Gaffeek and Rogan gone, Wynnger was eventually disbanded by Batolemaeus.
