+ | They spawn close to Lava tiles, and usually spawn in caves, with the maybe 20 or so lava tiles per server, its rare to see them spawn either way. just think of it as the cave tiles are more abundant, so they spawn more abundantly. | ||

Does anyone know where they actually spawn? I've heard both caves and lava tiles and I have only been able to verify that they spawn in caves.
Similar to a monster den, lava spiders and fiends use lava tiles as their dens, so they spawn on nearby tiles.
