Maybe the ''Healing Cover Howto'' should be in it's own page.  --[[User:Kanif|Kanif]] 16:24, 18 June 2006 (CDT)

Revision as of 22:24, 18 June 2006

I tried to move my notes to below shortass's table, but I could not get it to work. maybe someone else can make it work?

Also, it seems that there r mostly weak covers & a few strong. so we prolly only need to list the strong ones & say all the other combos r weak. That should make the table more managable than it's current size.

but we should leave the table until all combos have been tested so we know we have gotten them all. --Uzetaab 09:52, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Great work! :D Keep it up! Awesome table. Can't wait till we've filled it up. --Helge 09:59, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Anyone feel like colorcoding the table? Pretty difficult to understand at the moment. Joshu 10:27, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Also, is it really neccessary for it to be symmetric across middle? Should probably eliminate half so it has less redundant content. Joshu 10:28, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

it's rather easy to make the table look nice, go here for the best way to do it, or go here for the easier way --Sppt 11:39, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

I'm very familiar with how to make internet thankyouverymuch, I just totally can't be stuffed... even though I _did_ just do the new color update. --Joshu 04:23, 15 June 2006 (CDT)

I've been trying to think of a way to remove the redundancies, but have not come up with a better sollution than only listing strong combos. if 1/2 the list is removed, it becmomes hard to see what all the options r for one item as u have to read a row & a column both. --Uzetaab 11:52, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Uzetaab, i've putted in these colored rows so it is at least a bit better readable :) --Sppt 11:55, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

How about some definitons of strengths? I propose: 16 - Very strong 12 - Fairly strong 8 - Fairly weak 4 (does this exist?) - Very weak

~Sporhund 21:30, 14th June 2006 (GMT +1 DST)

Sporhund, afaik it can only be "fairly weak" or "fairly strong".
Get 10 skill and use the lore method. The power is also a result of your skill (am I right?). While you got 16 with rosemary+tooth, you could also have got 12.
--Helge 16:00, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Ok, I've found 2 entries in the table that are not correctly registered on both halfs:
(Row - Coloum)

  • Corn - Onion: Fairly weak
  • Corn - Sassafras: Fairly weak
  • Sassafras - Eye: Fairly weak

Unfortunately I currently have neither Corn nor Eye. Can anyone confirm the connection?
I'll start color-coding the table by changing "fairly strong" background color to #00FF00
--Helge 16:07, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Color-coding done!
I'm removing the unconfirmed entries...(CANCELLED IN LAST MOMENT - Thanks for fixing Eaglef :) )
--Helge 16:14, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

If just I had Bladder, Corn and Eye I could've completed the entire table :-/ hmm well...
--Helge 16:47, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Could someone please confirm Parsley + Bladder?
--Helge 21:24, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

aw crap :( red mushroom can not be mixed, but black can. I don't have time to edit the table again atm. --Uzetaab 22:47, 14 June 2006 (CDT)

Any thoughts on the "fairly weak" color? Better than using the same color as the no-effect squares. --Joshu 04:23, 15 June 2006 (CDT)

Does anyone else think the old colors for "fairly weak" were better? I think it should be changed back. Besides, the new colors make editing a bigger trouble and it's not hard to spot the empty cells without.
We still need confirmation whether Parsley + Bladder is fairly weak!

BRING BACK 20:33, June 15, 2006! :( --Joshu 07:23, 15 June 2006 (CDT)

It seems like the different ingredients have fixed values.
I will try and collect a list and test them. I've a lot info from Celdur about it.

  • Rosemary + Sage = 12 (strong)
  • Tooth + Sage = 12 (strong)
    • > Rosemary = Tooth
  • Rosemary + Tooth = 16 (strong)
    • > Rosemary = 16/2 = 8
    • > Tooth = 16/2 = 8
    • > Sage = 12-8 = 4
  • Nettles + Sage = 9 (weak)
    • > Nettles = 9-4 = 5
  • Nettles + Parsley = 6 (weak)
    • > Parsley = 6-5 = 1
  • Paw + Sage = 7 (weak)
    • > Paw = 7-4 = 3
  • Black Mushroom + Rosemary = "supreme" (failed application, no power number) --Joshu 08:52, 18 June 2006 (CDT)

It seems like

  • power < 12 = fairly weak?
  • power >= 12 = fairly strong

Hmm... I better start working one something big :P
I think we'll soon no longer need a table. --Helge 15:14, 15 June 2006 (CDT)

i dont know if this helps, but i have gotten a 70ql healing cover (made from deer tail and lion paw) i dont know how to define strong or weak but i think 70ql is pretty strong.

yellow mushroom can also be mixed.

I will add how to identify if a cover if weak or strong --Kanif 15:01, 18 June 2006 (CDT)
