A candle is made by using animal fat on string of cloth.

Candles will emit light upon being lit, and loses quality over time.
Certain fat weights will produce different weighing candles.
If you fail creating a candle, the animal fat and the string of cloth both disapears, and instead produces 0.20kg of cloth rags.
