Loot can be defined as anything that can be picked up from a corpse, a container, or from the ground as a loot drop, as a reward for killing or exploring, for example. Therein the act of looting refers to picking up these reward items.
Loot in Wurm
There are no extensive loot rewards in Wurm from killing creatures, other than the items of a player's corpse killed in PvP combat, the huge shod club from a troll, and butchering products.
Often items in the wilderness, the remaining items of an abandoned and decaying place, as well as items in places being raided on the home servers in KvK combat and on the wild server in general, may be referred to as loot.
