Spawn is the word used to describe (in this game) the location where animals are created into the world. Most animals are spawned from lairs, however animals will also spawn on certain terrain, areas of certain influence such as HOTS, or can be hatched. Tameable animals can also be bred.
Unique creatures are only spawned once with the creation of the world/map, and will not return without GM intervention. Exceptions to this are dragons; female dragons can on rare occasions lay a huge egg which should hatch.
