Description

This is a new feature which was added recently. We are still testing the full extent of this feature.

Just to shed a little light on the subject. leveling is a new feature which shows up when holding a shovel and right-clicking a tile. it is very similar to Flattening. the difference being that while flattening will simply move the dirt present to make the tile flat. leveling will either pick up or drop dirt to make the tile level with the tile you are standing on.
