Only a Priest of Vynora, Magranon, Fo, Libila, Nahjo, Tosiek, Nathan, Paaweelr can cast this spell |
Description
All gods give priests the spell Bless at 30 faith. Currently bless is only used on altars. Rolf's comment from IRC on 6/29/2007 regarding bless: "bless does nothing to items as it is now except altars." This is contrary to the longstanding belief that it had other uses. It does, however, improve channeling skill from use and can be cast on a variety of items. It costs 10 favor to cast.
You will not shatter up the item if you fail to cast this spell.
Priests can gain 1 point of alignment by casting Bless on players. The gain seems to happen a bit randomly however.
If a Libila, Tosiek, or Nathan priest casts Bless on a grazing animal, it will become "corrupted" and eat mycelium instead of grass. This can be reversed if the animal is then blessed by a White Light priest. You can see if an animal has been corrupted by examining it.
