Description

Some reed plants. It has very strong fibres.

Gathering reed plants from natural reed tiles uses gardening skill. They can be gathered using shovel, sickle or scythe. Tools aside from the sickle and scythe, however, do limit harvest quality to 20.

Harvesting Reed plants from reed fields uses farming skill. No tool is required to harvest. Reed can be planted using reed seeds, which can be picked from the plants. Picking seeds will destroy the plant.

Reed tiles currently look like grass growing in water.

Usage

Reed plants can be crushed to produce reed fibre, which then can be used to create papyrus sheets with a press. Crushing 0.5kg of reed plants will produce 0.1kg reed fibre.

Reed seeds can be picked from the reed plants. Picking the seeds will destroy the plant.

Reed plants are used to create a reed pen.

Reed plants are used to create a thatch for Thatched roof.

Can also be used as a Healing Cover ingredient with a potency of 1.

Method

Reed tiles

Reed plants can be gathered from medium, long and wild natural reed tiles. Note that Medium reed produces 1 plant, tall produces 2 plants and wild produces 3 plants. The quality of the harvest is random.

Reed fields

Reed fields (farm tiles) are harvested like regular fields. No tool is required to harvest reed fields. The amount and quality of the harvest depends on the farming skill. Unlike other farm fields, reeds need to be sown underwater. Ideal depth is 3 dirts higher than maximum shovel depth.
