What is a Impalong
A community event where many players gather to improve items, sermon, and play games.
Players or Alliances host an event for other players to come by and improve items to their highest capacity, 70ql being the highest average. Players that have priests also gather to have sermons which is usually located near the improving area. Most Impalongs have a secured bedroom for the player and their alts.
Setting up
- Planning an Impalong takes a lot of time and resources.
- The Deeds are made to have access from water and land for easy travels.
- The main building houses the Forges, Ovens, Kilns, Altars, and storage containers for resources and items.
- Secured rooms providing bed(s) and storage, usually reserved ahead of time for proper permissions.
- Materials are gathered and stored in the hundreds sometimes thousands in a warehouse to be used throughout the event.
- Arenas and event areas are recommended for GMs to spawn creatures and have giveaways.
- Docks, enchanted fields, and Campgrounds (for tents) are recommended for travelers.
- Posting on the forums with a date, location, and a general idea of what will be happening at event.
The Event
Opening day, and how things work.
- Volunteered players ranging from all skills are assigned their improving range and stations.
- Players rename their items to their own name to be easily identified and then placed into the proper container to be improved.
- Items are enchanted depending on the availability of priests.
Typical Games
Players make up games to be played and are sometimes given prizes based on winning or answering correctly.
- You Got Fished
- Each player equips a fish and starts to duel, when the fish hits a specified body part, they win.
- Scavenger Hunt
- Several clues are hidden around the area of the impalong and players have to follow them to get to the end.
- Trivia
- Players are asked random trivia and first person to correctly responds wins.
