Regarding speed
It appears that the recent changes to wind speeds have caused a bit of confusion when it comes to the common question of how fast boats can travel. Maybe we should do some tables and try to reach a clear definition? Personally, I've recorded speeds of up to 20.1 kph when sailing as a passenger in a corbita, with a north-eastern gale blowing. The exact same wind propelled me alone in my small sailboat at 18 kph, clearly contradicting the old opinion that the latter is the fastest sailing craft. How about the rest of you?
