To calculate the maximum slope you can build a fence, stone wall, or tall stone wall on, based on your carpentry or masonry skill, use the following formula (submitted by ketza):
Max slope = (3 * √skill) + 10
(3 times the square root of your skill, then add 10)
Note: The answer is rounded down.
Alternatively, to find the skill required for a given slope, use this formula:
Skill = (slope - 10)^2 / 9
This answer gets rounded up instead.
