Fuel is anything that keeps a fire going and may consist of:
- Log
- Wood scraps
- Kindling
- Anything else wood
- Peat
- Tar
- Olive oil
- Animal fat
- Cotton
- All Cloth tailoring products
Not all fuel types work with all objects, however.
In a forge (and probably other fuel sources), the fuel level can be monitored by the following:
- "The fire burns steadily and will still burn for a long time." - Maximum fuel, actual burn time dependent on fuel QL, damage, and weight
- "The fire burns with wild flames and still has much unburnt material." - Good time to add fuel.
- "The fire is starting to fade." - Really, you might want to add fuel already...
- "A few flames still dance on the fire but soon they too will die." - Hello?
- "A layer of ashes is starting to form on the glowing coals." - Anyone home?
- "A few red glowing coals can be found under a bed of ashes." - Absolute last chance to add fuel before:
- "The fire is not lit." (even though the fire will still appear lit for about a minute after this message) - Light with steel and flint and kindling in your inventory and hope your stuff didn't lose its glowing status by too much.
