Dragging formula
Interesting to see someone's been examining this in detail. Another thing that would be very useful is how cart weight / own weight / strength is used to calculate stamina drain. Does it work the same way as dragging capability? - Dashiva 11:06, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
I'd imagine so... --Ctrlaltdelete 05:41, 13 July 2008 (CDT)
Never noticed the discussion section. Drakhri and I did some testing forever ago with stamina drain the same time we were messing around with the max drag formula. It was hard to test, and in our opinion not super important. Obviously, cart weight increases stamina drain. We did all tests with nothing in our inventory. Also obviously, slopes increase/decrease drain. When I was dragging my max load at 30 strength, my stamina depleted very quickly, even on flat ground.
Body stamina also seems to affect it. Zanetheinsane, with 1 higher bodystr but 2 less body bodystam, would run out of stamina slightly before I would with the same weight in the cart. Needless to say, if you're dragging 120 dirt up a 20 slope ramp with two fountains in your cart, your stamina wont last you the length of two tiles, if one.
Now days, however, it will be very rare for someone to drag more than the weight of 94 bricks.--Teslas 03:35, 1 December 2008 (CST)
I believe the following is incorrect:
- The maximum weight you can drag in a small cart is determined by the formula (Body strength * 7 - Amount of weight you're carrying) * 10 - 60kg. See body strength for more details.
I have 20.35 BodyStrength, 11.45kg in inventory, 6.9kg on body, and 946kg in cart. Yet, I cannot pull the cart. I do however have unhealed wounds, could this be the problem?ChrisNYC 17:28, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- yes. wounds can reduce the effective body strength. --Ago 18:21, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
