Just an FYI - * is used for bullet lists. You must wrap it within <nowiki></nowiki> tags when it begins a line for it to show up properly, or you can use ∗(∗) for a different asterisk character. Good find on the favor amount!
Example:
- Bullet List
* No bullet
∗ Still no bullet
