A support beam is a wooden construction made from logs, shafts and iron ribbons intended to reinforce and support cave walls in mines.
Usage
Notes
A support beam is required on every wall of a cave tile (both sides) to prevent the tile from collapsing. A reinforced tile can't be mined.
Hint: If making the support beams outside of the mine, the best approach is to leave it unfinished (e.g. requiring a shaft or a ribbon) and place them in a cart since unfinished support beams will fit into a cart whereas finished ones will not.
