Pleas Note: Because of recent sever changes the village of Tenakill is in the process of moving to a new server. We will be updating this page when the move is complete. We are sorry for any inconvience this may cause.

The village of Tenakill is a "tight-knit" community, founded by Asidecay and Becket, that sits nestled between the base of northwest Mt. Relentless and the coast of the Bay of Swedes.

Although referred to as a village, Tenakill itself is moreso a shire of the kingdom of Jenn-Kellon. The village parents one size 5 homestead, Tenakill Boat Basin, and one size 5 village, Oak Ridge Farm, all of which vastly expand the lands of Tenakill. The lands of Tenakill are encircled and protected by a great wall, where guardhouses can be found as entrances into the majestic area known as Tenakill.

Tenakill is a friendly area that welcomes visitors, but must ask that anyone who enters through our guardhouses follow the Laws of Tenakill.

Location

Tenakill can be found on the Gold 2 Village Roadmap, directly south of Newtown. Travel time is relatively short if travelling south via the BoS Highway, versus taking the old Woodscove road.

Law

We ask of any person, citizen or visitor, to follow the Laws of Tenakill when entering through one of our guardhouses and into our land. Any person not obeying the Laws of Tenakill might be subjected to one or all of the following: verbal warning, demotion/revocation of their citizenship status, interaction with a GM, and/or KOS.

The Laws of Tenakill

1. There is to be no building, terraforming, destroying, deforestation, mining of new shafts or any work done unless approved by an Elder or the mayor.

2. Theft is intolerable and punishment is very severe. If you need something, just ask. Don't take.

3. Verbal abuse towards another player or players is not permitted! If you are a citizen of Tenakill we will not tolerate this behavior, whether it be on any of the game chats or on the forums.

4. In a situation of conflict, the High Elders and mayor have the final say in matters. What they say, goes.

5. Any citizen believed to be revolting against the Government of Tenakill (i.e. vote for a new mayor) will be charged with treason. Punishment will be swift, including a revocation of your citizen status and a spot on the KOS list.

6. Our allies are our extended family. Respect them and their areas as you respect ours and yours.

7. Invites to become a citizen are made by Elders and mayor only.

8. Trader Abbey, our village trader, is only accessable to the mayor and High Elders. If you need to purchase something from her, you must ask one of them to retrieve the item for you.

9. There will be no duelling or fighting with characters in the streets of Tenakill. We like to keep and convey a peaceful area and "PVP" actions will only be tolerated in the Tenakill Spar Arena.

10. Pets of all kinds are welcome in Tenakill! Do not kill any animal outlined in blue within Tenakill's great walls and do not kill any aggressive animal (outlined in red) that is penned up within Tenakill's great walls.

11. If you are a citizen and you are going to be inactive for a period of time, you must notify a High Elder or the mayor. You might also be required to either hand over or destroy any writs to buildings located within Tenakill's walls, depending on length of inactivity. If the citizen who plans to be inactive is holding a deed within Tenakill, they can either disband their homestead or sell it to the Elders/mayor of Tenakill for the disband price and half of the upkeep at that given time.

Politics

Tenakill is run under tight rule by the Mayor and High Elders. The village is considered a "dictatorship" and heavily frowns upon anyone interested in voting for a change of acting mayor. In fact, under rule 5 of the Laws of Tenakill, doing so will have you evicted from the area and KOS.

Becoming a High Elder of Tenakill is not simply something any citizen can achieve. There are strict guidelines for this postion, one of them including that at least one current High Elder or the acting mayor must know the candidate in real life. Most players that join Tenakill will only rise up as high as Villager status, which still has awesome benefits, including building your house lot wherever you wish within the lands and even placing a homestead deed.

Villagers of Tenakill are exposed to a great deal of freedom and accessability to the village's stockpile of resources, items and facilities. Villagers are not expected to follow a certain path of skills to train and are encouraged to work on skills that they enjoy doing. With access to the village's kitchen, the alchemist's shop, the leather and armor workshop, the archery range, the smith's forgery, the livestock pens and zoo, the shipwrights building, the tree reserves and even the warrior's training center, the possibilities are endless for training any skill that you wish. As a Villager, you have the the ability and right to ask the village's most able smith to forge you a descent sword or pickaxe or even ask one of the most able village masons to improve your forge. Enchants on an item can be requested from our village priest as well, but be warned, said item could be accidentally blown up.

Villagers of Tenakill are also alloted one lot of land (10x20 tiles), as stated above, within Tenakill's great wall, anywhere they wish, provided that the proposed lot has been authorized by an Elder or the mayor. Once the lot has been authorized, the land is yours to do as you wish and does not violate rule 1 of the Laws of Tenakill. Any Villager found violating the Laws of Tenakill may have their lot seized due to demotion of citizenship status or citizenship revocation. If such is the case, the guilty villager must hand his writs to an Elder/Mayor or face interaction with a GM. If said villager has a homestead deed, the player has the option to disband it or sell it to the Elders/Mayor of Tenakill for the disband price and half of the upkeep at that given time.

Recruits are very limited to the access they have to all of Tenakill's villages and homesteads. Making your way from Recruit status to Villager status can be fairly easy in Tenakill's government. The recruit will be granted villager status after he/she has proven themselves trustworthy and has put a little work into the village. More info about this can be found in the Recruiting section.

Recruits and Villagers are not expected or required to pay any upkeep for the village of Tenakill or its four child homesteads. The only time that a Villager is expected to pay upkeep is when they have purchased a homestead deed for themselves.

Allies and the Kingdom

The founders of Tenakill have a very close relationship with thier allies and friends, the Bay of Swedes and Riverboy's Mesa Verde and Aegis. Any settlements that are found on the enemy list of these allies might also be subjected to the enemy list of Tenakill village and its child homesteads.

Although Tenakill is a peaceful homeserver state, we do believe in helping the cause of the kingdom and care about the welfare of our Jenn-Kellon brothers waging the war in the lands of the wild. We announce to the Horde of the Summoned and the Mol-Rehan citizens of the wild that you need not be suprised if you come across a few arrows, or even perhaps a studded set on a fallen Jenn-Kellon warriors body, bearing the name of one of our citizens!

Tenakill does not neglect its kingdom on the homeserver either! Tenakill has been known to volunteer their helping hand in large projects, most notably the Newtown Merchant Row renovation during the holiday season of 2008 and the Newtown to Bear Bay tunnel project created for boat transportation and accessability to the homeservers capital.

Recruitment

Tenakill, as a community, has a lot to offer. The area has abundant resources, a gorgeous area with breathtaking views, plenty of deeded and undeeded land, a village priest, a handfull of very active players that can be found online at various times of the day and night, a merchant center to sell town made wares, and much more.

With that said, Tenakill is not very active in the recruitment of citizens. When Tenakill does recruit, it is extremely important to us that we feel the recruit is someone that works well with others and generally enjoys working on projects. We are not looking for people that wish to turn our village chat into the next kingdom chat. We are looking for individuals who enjoy a little bit of "hard work" and the benefits that come from it. The more active that the recruit is, the better!

Recruits can become Villagers in Tenakill rather easily, and be given more freedoms and accessability to the area's buildings, provided they show the Elders and/or mayor that they are trustworthy. The Elders/mayor need to feel secure that the village items are safe in your hands and they also have to trust that you are capable of constructing and building to the quality requirements of Tenakill standard! Once again, if you are a hard working individual who likes to help plan and work on extensive projects with others, you might be the exact recruit we are looking for, whether new player or established.

Recruits who do not meet the standard to become Villagers are generally not asked to relinquish their citizenship status and are left as Recruit status. This means they must live in recruit housing, they are not entitled to enchantments from the village priest, nor are they entitled to any services of other town members. Recruits are generally given some nice wares by existing members of Tenakill, but this is on a gift basis and can not be "requested", as someone with a Villager status can do.

Tenakill currently has room for one recruit. Contact us if you feel you have what it takes to be a citizen!

Religion

Tenakill's region consists of a strict religious Whitelighter following of only one goddess; Vynora. Tenakill has even devoted a beautiful temple, named The Grand Cathedral of Tenakill, to her. Within Tenakill's great wall, a player will only find Vynoran alters to pray at, as all of Tenakill's land is devoted to her domain.

Although at Vynora's beckon, the citizens of Tenakill will not be cast aside nor looked down upon if they choose to be atheist or to follow another god of the White Light. Followers of another god will be required to find proper prayer facilities outside of the confines of the great wall of Tenakill.

Mercantile

Currently, Tenakill has its own merchant center, called Tenakill Mercantile, located in the southwestern outskirts of Aegis. The building hosts three seperate merchants; one for tools, one for goods and one for armors and weapons.
