Description
Animal breeding allows for the production of new creatures, sometimes with increased quality, without the need to wait for new spawns.
Method
- One of the two animals you wish to breed must be able to be led with a rope therefore some taming may be required. Once you have one of the two animals lead, ensure they are both well fed and move them close to one another. Right click on the animal you are not leading and select the Breed option.
- Grooming now also gives animal breeding skill gains. (Activate a grooming brush and select groom while clicking on livestock.)
Notes
- Animals must be of the same species.
- When breeding fails you will receive a message that the intercourse was interrupted.
- Breeding may be attempted every 45 minutes after failure.
- Animals do not have to be "fat" to breed.
- When an animal is "no longer interested in food" they will be ready to begin breeding.
- Age is not a factor in breeding.
- Breeding increases a player's soul depth.
- Pregnancy times can differ, from 5-11 wurm weeks, regardless of species.
Traits
Bred animals have a chance of having traits.(Enhancement/Deformity)
Animals can have multiple traits.

- 26 skill: "It has very strong leg muscles."
- 27 skill: "It has keen senses."
- 28 skill: "It has malformed hindlegs."
- 29 skill: "The legs are of different length."
- 30 skill: "It seems overly aggressive." (Agressive fighting stance?)
