Container inconsistencies

I have noticed that green dye in particular can NOT be made in a bucket or barrel. The message "There is not enough room for the dye in the container" is presented in the Event window and copper scraps and most of the water are lost. I tried several times with 2.00kg water and 2.00kg copper scraps, and ended up with .50kg water in 5 tries at 99% skill. I will try again using only pottery jar and then with a waterskin once I get more copper of the right size (1.00kg this next time). Delsten 06:39, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

The recent page deletion/redirection

Articles are not supposed to be deleted and redirected to their ingame equivalent in the Item namespace (e.g. Item:Onion). The ingame help articles are not supposed to have a special formatting etc. or worse, tables. The articles in the global namespace can be made as beautiful as far as your skills go. --Ulviirala 11:43, 23 June 2009 (CDT)

What was here before

I just read on the forums (http://wurmonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9264) that moss is a component of green dye. As I don't know for sure myself, I'll put this here for now. If someone else knows for sure that this is true, feel free to add it to the page. Ed 14:08, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

I suppose you mean this quote, from Shade?
"Moss as a component in Green dye, or as a low potency healing cover (it does say you use moss and leaves)."
That was a suggestion if I understood it correctly. I can't say for sure if moss can be used for making green dye, but I doubt it does.
Oh silly me, you're right. I misread as as is. :| Ed 15:39, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

  • The table of dye usage needs to be added to, and the actual usages need to be rechecked. Sometimes it uses a weird amount like 0.125 that requires several applications to calculate. For instance, if painting an item uses 0.13kg one time, and 0.12kg another, it is actually using 0.125kg and the table should reflect this.

Making Dye

Has anyone experimented using different amounts of water when making dye? Does it seem to affect the QL of the resulting dye. This might good information to add on this page as well.
