You can also practice with a bow equipped, this will train archery, fighting, and the type of bow at the same time. But it's much slower for archery than an [[archery target]], and it damages the doll more than a shaft.
If you keep the quality of the doll as high as possible, so you won't damage it as much per hit. You and you will still get the same amount of skill, no matter how much damage you do or don't cause.
