===Importance of the Battle===
The Siege of Avarga is characterized as one of the most important, and certainly the largest scale pvp encounter in the history of Wurm Online and was organized by legendary player Tonygreen, playing on the account Dragonpen. The combining of all the kingdoms of a server into a raid force has never been done before, nor has it yet to be done again. This adds to the significance of the battle. While the exact troop totals are unknown, the conservative number places it around 100, but some estimates go far beyond that total.
Additionally this was not intended to be a raid, like most engagements of the modern era. Sieges occurred on an infrequent basis, last multiple days with either constant fighting or hostilities, examples including sieges over the White Light on Wild, and the Siege of Ebony Veil.
