Shovels can cut down trees and bushes, albeit more slowly than a proper axe or hatchet. Shovels are the primary tool for [[Digging | terraforming]], landscaping , and building [[roads]] and paths. If your character has 21 body strength, you may use a shovel to destroy pavement such as [[cobblestone]], [[gravel]], or [[stone slab]]s. It is a terrible implement for fighting, and is not recommended for such purposes. The shovel provided for you as part of the set of beginner gear from the guide <b>cannot</b> be improved. You must make a new shovel from scratch to obtain one over QL10.
