* The lantern requires 0.02 kg of [[dye]].
* If the lantern is [[dye|painted]], the light from it will be that color. Black dye has no effect on the light though.
* A [[Temperature|hot]] , or hotter lantern will become lit and provide illumination, even when not filled with tar or oil, until it cools. Snuffing it will cool it automatically.
