* A building must have all first-floor walls complete for permissions to work.
* When complete, a player needs '''Modify Building''' in order to continue building floors or additional walls.
* Permissions on a building will override [[Permissions#Settlement|Settlement permissions]].
* '''May Enter''' is only enforced when a door has a [[door lock]]. All other permissions are enforced regardless of locks on doors.
* The current owner may click '''Demolish''' from the building management window to demolish a building they own. This option is also available when you '''right-click''' a building and click ''Demolish > Destroy structure''.
* If '''Settlement May Manage''' is set, the mayor is able to demolish a building instead of the actual owner.
