Main / Skills / Pottery / Smelting pot A ceramic smelting pot, used to smelt metal.

This is a pottery smelting pot made from a clay smelting pot in a campfire, forge, or oven. It is used like a tool to smelt down glowing hot metal items, while losing some weight of the original material.

Usage

Activate the smelting pot, right-click the glowing hot metal item, and select Smelt. The material will appear as lump in place of the item.

Cannot be smelted

• Locks and keys.
• Enchanted items: you get the message xxx resists smelting.

Notes

• Low ql smelting pots cap the ql of the lump to 50 ql.
• Smelting items seems to give lumps equivalent to the ql of the item being smelted.
• Metal items must be glowing hot to smelt down into a lump. Make sure you let it heat more after glowing hot, otherwise it will not give yet the option to smelt.
• This is not a container, but it's activated and used like a tool.
• Smelting a rare or better item will turn it into a rare lump.
