Problems with this guide
- Its better to buy seed then for/bot. 1 silver can buy at least 1,000 seeds. 10i per seed is the expensive market price, some will sell for less. For/bot is free but for those who spend some cash its worth it to get the seed from another player.
- Its better to use sleep bonus only on raking. Harvest and sowing contribute so little to skill gain its best to do those off sleep bonus. If a farmer does a rake, harvest, then sow cycle, he will end up wasting a lot of sleep bonus.
- A farmer can choose to not rake(farm) at all. I haven’t tested out the recent minimum 2 yield change but this may make it feasible for a low skill to just do a sow and harvest cycle. At 76 farming, I don't rake anymore and get 6 crops per a tile for every crop.
- Farms do not have to be flat. For a new player it is a huge time saver if they are slopped.
Make the biggest farm you can, remember it doesn't have to be perfectly flat. Buy a low ql, high coc rake and as much farm seed as you can get. Focus on the seeds for corn, pumpkin, and potato at first. Use your sleep bonus raking and try to get a second raking in later in the day. Following this plan will quickly increase farming skill up to 50.Joedobo 09:14, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
