Talk:Mining
I won't disagree with a 90+ miner obviously. I merely added what I've heard some other sources discuss.
- You should disagree with a 90+ miner who doesn't substantiate his claims. Removing the template until some concrete examples for correction are provided. - Dashiva 13:49, 7 February 2009 (CST)
New rock lowering and tunneling stuff
Gonna dig through this article and modify based on the new rock terraforming ability and new tunneling actions
I will agree to that. Something about these stats does seem a little off. Mayhaps Artibaton will provide solid facts at a later date. -Aureate
tunneling seems to always produce rock shards from what I've experienced. - Skyefox
A discussion in CA chat has shown that you can lower the rock tile well below swimming depth even to let corbs pass through the cave canal. I am also adding that it is helpful to keep a rowboat close by for stamina regain when mining down pas water level. -Zachariah
Aye one can mine the floor down well below swimming depth until the game tells you its too deep to mine there (don't recall the exact depth offhand in terms of dirt or mining actions). Having a ship nearby to board is a good idea to regen stamina and avoid drowning. One can mine with zero stamina with no ill effect long as one stays still, just slower and little gain --Klaa (talk) 15:25, 26 May 2015 (CEST)
yar
Some statistics I'd like to dump down.
I mined 1000 copper ore with a ql 66.6 iron pickaxe at 66.8 mining, I gained 0.70 mining skill, putting me at 67.49. Then I mined 1000 gold ore and gained 1.2 mining skill with the same pickaxe and level after I'd mined the 1000 copper. I don't know why people say gold is completely useless. It's really not.
Cleanup
Page is too big and could be confusing for new players. I'm going to create some sub-pages and move some of the stuff away. Also, anything which is considered a guide should really be moved to a guide page and not included on the main skill page. --Marni (talk) 03:58, 7 February 2013 (CST)
Overhaul
Mining has been overhauled. Thanks Keenan for letting me do this :) --Zachariah (talk) 11:16, 20 August 2015 (CEST)
