[[Crab]]s can be found near [[water]], and on land if they start to wander. They have a decently fast [[attack]] speed and cause a lot of cutting [[wounds]]. Newer players should be wary trying to fight it.
It is a [[monster|hostile creature]] with a red hover outline, but will not attack [[player]]s embarked on a [[cart]] or [[ship]]. They will , however , attack [[swimming]] or [[walking]] players and , once engaged, will not stop attacking even when embarking, akin to [[shark]]s.
Its [[spawning]] conditions may require areas of [[sand]] and [[rock]].
