* Meteorites contain different, high-quality metals that can be mined directly as searing hot lumps. These include all metals except moonmetals and alloys.
* They can remain on the ground for some time after falling.
* Meteor showers are spawned by the [[Ritual of the sun]].
* The quality of the metal produced by a meteorite seems to be is capped only by the mining player's [[mining]] skill.* Meteorites take 50 hits and then are depleted. Some can produce slightly more than about ~50 lumpsbefore being depleted.
* Meteorites faintly illuminate the area around them, making them slightly easier to locate at night.
