* As a player, it is possible to catch a disease after contact with diseased animalsor players, when standing on the same tile as them. ** It is also possible to catch a disease from contact with many non-diseased animals or players. ** It's possible to catch a disease when multiple accounts are embarked on the same [[vehicle]]. * When the power of a disease is over 100, skill gain is impaired. It has been suggested that disease also lowers one's [[Combat rating | combat rating]].
You will be notified with the following line in the [[event window]] in <font color=Chocolate>orange</font> text:

* The following actions will help you to get rid of a disease:
** Keep your [[food bar]] above 90%. Otherwise, the disease will continue to increase by 5 power every 30 minutes. The effect can be seen by looking at [[spell effects]].** Stand on a tile with enchanted grass. ** Have Humid Drizzle or Heal cast on you.** Death removes the disease, when you respawn. ** Curing disease may require that players/animals are moved to separate tiles, even when using spells.
