For numeric values? The usage is typically tied to language and region. In Britain, the USA, Canada, and Australia it's a dot. But in Sweden and Finland it's a comma. I'd lean towards the use of a dot since it's the accepted international decimal seperator. Or we could clear it all up and use the mommayez character :D

There's no international standard that I know of, but as most (all?) english languages use the period, I'd vote for using the period. --[[User:Manny|Manny]]
