There are only 3 2 places to safely store items, a [[settlement token]] bank, a [[personal merchant]] and a [[bag of keeping]] (or a [[master bag of keeping]]).
* A [[settlement token]] bank account only stores 5 items and any amount of coins. If item is a container like a backpack it has to be empty to be placed in your [[settlement token]] bank account. * You can also store some small items in a [[bag of keeping]], you will keep these items when you die. However Bag of Keepings are hard to get hold of.
You can store items inside locked [[large chest]]s for some security. These chests can be [[lockpick]]ed however. [[Small chest]]s provide little security as they can be burned inside a fire.
