Not all fuel types work with all objects, however.

In a forge (and probably other fuel sources), the fuel level can be monitored by the following:

  • "The fire burns steadily and will still burn for a long time." - Maximum fuel, actual burn time dependent on fuel QL, damage, and weight
  • "The fire burns with wild flames and still has much unburnt material."
  • "A layer of ashes is starting to form on the glowing coals." - Good time to add fuel.
  • "The fire is starting to fade." - Really, you might want to add fuel already...
  • "A few flames still dance on the fire but soon they too will die." - Absolute last chance to add fuel before:
  • "The fire is not lit." - Light with steel and flint and kindling in your inventory and hope your stuff didn't lose its glowing status by too much.
