Preaching is the skill used in [[convert]]ing other people to your [[religion]], to hold [[sermon]]s, and to take [[confession]]s.
To convert someone using this skill, activate the holy item [[statuette]] for your [[religion]] then right-click another person, and select religion->convert. Your target must have issued the command "<code>/invitations" </code> for this to work. To hold a [[sermon]], activate the [[statuette]] then right-click an altar and select preach.
New converts start with [[faith]] equal to one fifth of your preaching skill.
