History
Crystal Funch is a homestead deed on the Freedom Isles server. It was planted by Juraka on June 20th, 2009, and is located approximately 200 tiles north of Akhenaten and 100 tiles east of Tenakill Valley. Crystal Funch is a continuation of the homestead Verdite Citadel on the Jenn-Kellon Home server. Juraka inherited Verdite Citadel previously and held it until the end of JK-H.
After arriving at the Freedom Isles, Juraka set out to find a quiet location to raise a homestead. After prematurely planting a homestead near the Darkenstone area, he decided to explore further west and around the coastline to the south. Eventually coming to land at the docks of Tenakill Boat Basin, Juraka left his boat to explore inland. He chose a location on a small hillside on the east side of a small lake. This is the current location of Crystal Funch.
Deed Layout
Crystal Funch is constructed of three levels: The valley floor, the main level, and the balcony. The main level is raised exactly 100 dirt above the valley floor, and has ramps connecting it to the balcony, which is exactly 200 dirt above the main level. The valley floor houses the entrance walkway, eastern gatehouse, a small grape garden, and a small pond for fishing. The main level contains mostly houses for storage and other uses. There is a 2x2 guesthouse that is planned to have two free beds for use by travelers who pass through the area. The balcony is the highest level of the deed. At this point it only consists of a single forge-house near the mine entrance, which is also at the top of the deed. The only other currently planned item for the balcony is a Colossus statue overlooking the deed and valley.
A trail is also being constructed up the hill to the ridge above the deed. Expansion will most likely continue on the hillside, the ridge, and neighboring valley.
The Winery
Crystal Funch is also the home and manufacturer of 'Funch Punch' Wine. Juraka began the idea upon arriving to the location, and hopes to one day be the largest producer and supplier of wine to the Freedom Isles. The winery has not produced any wine yet, but they are being aggresively spread and treated to ensure maximum success in the future.
