The problem i have with bowl is a 'bowl' is made in poterry too. Yes its a pottery bowl or even a clay bowl, and i know you can make iron, silver and gold bowls as well. bowl on its own dosn't belong in poterry or jewel smithings, but pottery bowl and clay bowl belongs in pottery, just as iron bowl, silver bowl, and gold bowls belong in jewel smithing. It's a bit more complicated. Clay and pottery aren't item materials in the game mechanics sense; rather there are specific items 'clay bowl' and 'pottery bowl'. On the other hand, iron and silver are materials, and 'iron bowl' is just the item 'bowl' made with the material iron. It is possible to see which items use materials by clicking the What's this? link. So in practice there are three items: clay bowl, pottery bowl and bowl (made with a certain metal). Rolf could've called it 'metal bowl' instead, but he didn't, and now we live with it. :) - Dashiva 02:20, 5 August 2008 (CDT)
