General Information

The Test of Hemisphere Differences in Vineyards is a test conducted by Cranialwizard consist of the question of whether or not a player may take a sprout from a blue grape bush in the southern hemisphere and plant it in the northern to grow blue grapes, or the opposite, taking a green grape sprout and planting it in the southern hemisphere to grow green grapes in a naturally blue-grape area. This is the general information that the Wurm public and the wiki has released:

"Blue grapes are harvested from grape bushes in the southern half of a map. They are used in creating blue grapes juice for making red wine."

Likewise:

"Green grapes are harvested from grape bushes in the northern half of a map. They are used in creating green grapes juice for making white wine."

Location and Time Started

Cranialwizard's vineyards are located in the Northern Hemisphere in Golden Valley, just to the slight Northeast of New Dawn. For relative pinpoint, the vineyard is just east of Zephyr's Villa, along a road near the Portals to Premium servers.

No exact date was recorded as of when the test was started, but it was the Wurm year of 1007, at the end of the grape season, sadly, so the test must run until the Wurm year of 1008 during Raven's starfall. An approximate estimate of when the bushes were planted would be July 22nd, 2010.

Test Setup

In one closed area of the vineyard, 5 grape sprouts from the south end of the map were tested, and 5 grape sprouts from the northern end on the other side of the fence. The rest of the vineyard was planted with sprouts with no real designation, so these sprouts are presumed to give off green grapes.

These Grape bushes are constantly being pruned and picked for sprouts, and will not reach the old and shriveled age because of the constant care. Every 6 hours of real life, they are checked upon to remove sprouts and to prune them back to very old stage.

Results

As of far, Grapes are not in season, so this test is still underway, and no results have been yielded.
